Sainte-Thérèse d’Avila Catholic Elementary School

Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila Catholic Elementary School (Marionville’s village school) was founded in 1908. The school, we know today, opened its doors in 1954. It replaced two rural schools, the “École d’En Haut” (St-Isidore) and the “École d’En Bas” (Saints-Martyrs Canadiens). In 2023, the school welcomes close to 160 students, from pre-kindergarten to grade 8. It also offers a daycare program before and after school. This daycare service is offered by the Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est  (CECCE) for children from pre-kindergarten to grade 6.

Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila School is part of the CECCE. Over the years, the school has undergone major renovations and transformations to accommodate growing student numbers and population growth. The school is the jewel in the heart of the Marionville village. The school has state-of-the-art equipment and is proud to be part of the EcoSchools program. Participation in this program gives students the means to reduce their environmental footprint. For more information on the EcoSchools program visit the website: https://ecoschools.ca.

A major renovation project has been underway since summer 2023. New external siding panels are being installed. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
